About Summit County Criminal History

Summit County criminal records are divided among the Sheriff's Office, courts in Breckenridge and the towns, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Colorado Department of Corrections, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry. Choosing the right custodian can be the hardest step. This site brings those official routes together so readers can find the proper portal, counter, or phone line without treating separate government systems as one database.

Why We Built This Site

Colorado provides several public record channels, yet each one answers a different question. The Summit County Sheriff's Office keeps its reports, booking data, and jail history. Summit County Combined Courts holds state charge and disposition files, while town courts retain municipal matters. The Colorado Bureau of Investigation operates the statewide name-based history system, the Colorado Department of Corrections covers state custody, and the Colorado Sex Offender Registry publishes its lawful public subset. We organize verified contacts, official portals, request steps, and available fee details around those distinct custodians.

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site, not part of a Colorado court, police department, sheriff's office, or state agency. Those limits matter:

  • We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
  • We cannot submit record-sealing, juvenile-expungement, records-request, or other paperwork for you
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
  • We cannot promise that a government office has not changed a fee, address, phone number, or procedure

Only the record custodian, such as the Sheriff, a court clerk, or CBI, can issue an official copy. This site can identify the route, but cannot supply the record.

Search Partners

Outside providers power search boxes found on some pages. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports this free reference site. We do not set the provider's charges or decide what its search returns.
